Well then, there seems to be a common theme to this all: our ideas, be them good or bad, are not being heard by anet. Why? anet doesn't care. anet has no incentive to care.
So I reckon the question then becomes: how do we force them to listen? Do we collectively advocate the boycotting of HA by the premium players? I'd venture to say that if it would work, most of the high end HA players would give up HA for a bit in order to advocate changes. There are flaws with boycotting though. If players aren't there, why fix it? Furthermore, this opens the avenue for the die-hard "t+crtl" players to dominate. It invalidates the already irrelevant rank system even more.
Do we all find an anet employee on the game and PM them until they block us? This seems rather immature and...well, like a very poor idea.
Do we all send them the same email, each of us signing our various names, to anet twice, thrice a day? I think they could take the same approach they do now.
So then, if I may redirect the original concept of my own post: instead of trying to figure out how to fix HA, how do we go about forcing anet to listen?

Riverside Inn is actually read by the devs... but any topic there will be swarmed by PvE scrubs.

Erm i say try the riverside inn. If Galies brave enough to respond we can find out why nothings still has not been done. Other wise we could have a go at anet because they said they were forwarding the kill count poll to the dervs but as of yet nothing has been done an we have heard nothing. Basically giving me the impression i guess they ignored it. One thing though is we need to change tatics maybe.

No longer will blue be able to 'gift' the altar to the team with the lowest score in order to prevent the team with a chance of winning from capping and scoring enough points to overtake them. Of course if one team in HoH has scored 0 points with 2-3min remaining on the timer this new points system should not allow them to win easily, possible but not easy.
assuming 8min length match
8-3min: holding altar awards 1 point every 30 seconds
3-1min: holding altar awards 2 points every 30 seconds
1-0min: holding altar awards 3 points every 30 seconds
total points possible: 10+8+6= 24 points
assuming blue team has all points so far, it is still possible for a team with 0 points to win the match as long as they cap and hold the altar by 2:30min. At this time blue team will have made 10+2 points... meaning there are still 12 points left to win. If they cap 1 second after 2:30 it will be too late. But at least with this system it is possible... in the current system it is not possible to catch up in this situation.
although the precise points distribution might be wrong or could be better i think the idea behind it is sound... might take a few tries before a good points system is found but i dont think it would take that much coding would it?

With that why not just bring back the old altar mechanics..........since you can still win if you hold for 2 minutes thats what it was in the old ha. When teams decide to spike the ghost out at 2minutes and it fails the holding team only had to hold for 2 minutes anyways.....so imo just change halls back to the original form prior to the 6v6 changes.

the upcoming HA weekend... dunno what to make of it. It might be a start of HA's revival, but why do I get the feeling that Anet do this so they can say that they care about HA?

Revival? Lmao, what are you talking about. It will be one huge ritspike/heroway lame fest. How putting double fame is a start of revival?
Fixing maps objectives, removing AI bots from player vs player, proper skill balance and active support for pvp community would be a revival.
They are just getting desperate, and double fame was the best idea they came up with. I'm seriously getting fed up with this.

I would pay good money to know what all anet employees' degrees are... surely they are too stupid for any of them to have business degrees. They never do anything but piss off the playerbase. I'd also love it if there were a monthly subscription or a counter to tell us how many people are online, just to lol at the fact that so many people have quit.

Woohoo everyone is going to go up a rank or two, and the people who can't/don't play the double fame weekend/gimmicks but actually have skill will be left in the dust (again) unable to find balanced groups, whereas morons who ritspiked their way to r7 or 8 will RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO up balanced groups cause they have no idea how to play the game.

I meant that the weekend might mean that anet start caring about tombs, though i doubt that. Of course the weekend gonna be an insult to intelligence but i'm talking about the general direction.
